Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Read, Celebrate, Create, Week! In 2025, this special week was held in Week 7 of Term 3 and celebrated CBCA Book Week, Education Week and Father's Day. We also held a Scholastic Book Fair. It was a wonderful week of engaging activities for our students and families such as a livesteam performance, writing event, Book Character Parade, morning tea and a special Father's Day breakfast with games on the school field.
Excursions. Each year our senior class attends a 3 day, 2 night camp during Term 3 while our junior classes attend a fun day out during Term 4. Locations change each year. In the past students have attended Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreational Camp, Broken Bay, Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctaury, Summerland Farm, Sea World and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Local excursions are also attended throughout the year for example to the Broadwater Sugar Mill and to various locations around Evans Head.
Small Schools Events. Throughout the year, our Small Schools join together for events such as: General Knowledge Day, Chess and Draughts Competition, Spelling Bee, Swimming Carnival, Athletics Carnival, Soccer Knockout, Netball Knockout, Art and Craft Day and more. These events are always fun and engaging and give our students the chance to interact with peers from our local communities.
"Broadwater Public School is a place that grows kind students and a place that cares about our futures!” — Sonny, a student of Broadwater Public School.
